That’s fine as long as the owner or property management company of your apartment building will verify your rent payments. We cannot verify with the person you are subleasing from. Due to rules and regulations set by the Credit Bureau, we do have to speak with the property owners or property management company.

We can still verify your rental history if you are subleasing from a property manager. Keep in mind, we will need to speak to the property manager in order to verify your rent. They will need to know you are living there and in a sublease, for us to verify. Sometimes, if you are not a lease holder, we can only do a one-time verification for you as an occupant. We can still verify if you are renting a room! The process is the same as if you are renting from an independent landlord or property management company. We will need to speak to the owner or the property management company directly to verify your rent.
